The from.name property would not make sense if you were to neglect looking at the call legType. Inspecting the legs property of the multi-leg call, we can see two different legType properties, the most recent (legs) was the Accept which occurred when the call was accepted on your SoftPhone, while the former (legs) was the PstnToSip which occurred when the inbound call from my celluar device was pointed by RingCentral to the IVR setup within my account. You will see bounced calls and no way to differentiate a bounced call no call waiting from a call presented and just ignored. You can do it on broadsoft I know, but it completely ruins reporting. Now check that the call records exist in the API, first fetch an access_token for the User you used to initiate the above calls. Engage with your account team at RingCentral and ask if they have a timeline on this change. Now, make two more outbound calls from your RingCentral Soft Phone (making sure to adjust the settings of the SoftPhone Calling set to Direct Dial instead of RingOut. Make sure to record one of these calls by pressing the Record button in the soft phone and ensuring the call lasts for at least 30-60 seconds, then click the Record button again to stop the recording. The call queue works well for inbound calls but if a user makes an outbound call, they will still receive inbound queue calls while they are on the outbound call. This seems like a very indirect way of going about things. I have users in a RingCentral call queue. Forwarding to a second queue instead of overflow is no good because the originating call queue name is then not displayed to the end user. As far as I can tell, the only overlap is the proper names located in the call logs to and from fields (which arent always present), which can be mapped to an email address and then to a Glip user. We urgently need the option of a queue which rings 4 extensions simultaneously then going to an overflow queue. There are a few ways you can do this, but the easiest way is to login to the RingCentral unified app sandbox via the web and to place and receive calls from that phone. How can I associate the call data from the RingCentral API to the user data in the Glip API. In case you don't have a lot of data in your account to work with, we will begin by creating some test data. In this tutorial, you will learn how to navigate and make use of more detailed and comprehensive call log data. Last updated: Contributors Edit this page
